Convergence – Image of the Week

I have often been intrigued by the advances in technology and have spent quite a bit of time thinking about what things might be like in the future.

All our digital capabilities are converging into one device. To think that we would one day have a device that fits in the palm of your hand and that can be used to phone, access email, the internet, your computer, and make purchases on-line might have seemed unrealistic. But, the future is now and I’m sure that in no time flat, these smart phones will seem archaic in comparison to what is to come.

An interesting activity is to sit with your children and get them to dream about what might be available to us in the future. It would be even more interesting to write it down and try and remember to look at it ten years and see how accurate they were.
