Differences
With the US election over and Trump taking power, it’s clear that the US people voted for a change. Now it’s time to reflect on what kind of change is wanted. The polarizing nature of the election campaign seemed to expose our differences rather than bring people together. I hope that most people are smart enough to believe the 99.9% of scientific opinion on the global warming crisis and see past the deniers that are working in the interests of big oil and others who are heavily invested in the fossil fuel economy.
Our ability as a society to create true change is most dependent on a critical mass of people joining together for a cause, not one person with a plan, (or no plan). For what ever change is coming, let’s remember that we are judged by how we treat other people. People that are different from us, people less fortunate than us. We are all different . As Rodney king almost said, Can’t we all just get along?
