Getting to the Point – Image of the Week

Do you remember as a kid, when the teacher would hand you a new pencil and you had to sharpen it with one of those rotating handle sharpeners? Even now, whenever I use a new pencil, sharpened to a fine point, it still brings back memories of those school days. Ok, I cheated on this image (again) After shooting the pencil point with my macro lens,  I realized it I just couldn’t get it that sharp using the pencil sharpener, so I duplicated and shrank the point using Photoshop to make this pencil extra sharp.
