Green fern in the sunshine – Image of the Week

After taking photos of the veil falls in Bridal Falls BC, I hiked along a trail back from the main waterfall. The forest floor was dark except for this lone fern leaf which caught my eye as a ray of sunshine highlighted its intense green colour. This image was taken using my Nikon D2X with a 70 – 180 mm micro lens.
