Green Technology

We recently have had some smart meters installed in our house to keep track of electricity, water and gas usage. These were not optional for us but put in by the city and utilities.

Hopefully, it means in the future I will be able to monitor and adjust our home and save some money in the long run. It’s easier for people to “go green” if there is some green in it for them.

One new thing we have done this year to save some power is to unplug our second fridge and transfer the perishables to a shelf in the garage where the Canadian winter keeps them cold for free.
