Is your Halloween too routine?
Tired of the same routine for Halloween? Why not spice up your spooky night with these suggestions:
- Stay indoors and throw a spooky themed party with traditional games like bobbing for apples or blindfolding partygoers and getting them to stick their hands in “lizard eyeballs” (olives) or “witches worms” (spaghetti) or try some of these games
- Educate yourself and your friends about the traditional meaning of Halloween (Samhain), which was a festival that marked the end of summer and featured honoring the spirits of passed loved ones, bringing in the crops of that season, and basically honoring and recognizing the movement of the earth’s axial tilt away from the sun, which marks the beginning of cooler weather.
- Or you can just forgo the holiday altogether, opting instead for an anti-halloween celebration.
