Information At Your Fingertips

Remember when it took weeks to settle a bet because to find out the definitive answer meant tracking down an expert , and then asking him/her for the authoritative explanation? In this age of information, those authoritative opinions are as close as the nearest internet device,  computer, or smartphone.  Google it and you have your answer, or do you?

My son and I had a bet. He was claiming that you could die of dehydration from eating snow, I said no but you could die of hypothermia because it would lower your core temperature.

After a brief trip to computer, he came back saying it was inconclusive, that half of the “experts” said that it was possible and the other half said no.

It seems that everyone with a keyboard is an expert now so I guess it’s back to the real life experts to solve this one. If you know the answer or have an opinion send me an email or respond to this post. I’d especially like to hear from those medical professionals and arctic explorers out there.
