Making your Wishes your Reality
No matter how much you wish for something, it probably won’t come true unless you apply practical action. Where do you start?
1. Make sure you want what you’re wishing for.
Sometimes we wish for things that aren’t true to our best selves. Do you really need that new car, or is it just a flash in the pan? Really want that haircut like Ke$ha? Are you sure?
2. Write an “action list”.
Write down each and every action, not matter how small, that you will need to do to get to your wish. Include just getting up off the couch or out from behind your desk. Now take the first action. And then the next. Keep going until you have followed through all your action steps.
3. Leave yourself wiggle room to change your mind.
If you really want to make sure that you won’t back off a wish in fear of commitment, or from fear of success, always start with the thought in the back of your mind that you can always change your mind. This is sure to help everyone out there that undermines themselves. Just trick your brain with a back-out plan, and you’ll find it easier to follow through.
