Right on Target
Nothing feels better than getting the dart right on target, directly hitting the nail on the head if you will. Whether it be in business, in recreation or something small in everyday life, reaching that goal is always a great accomplishment.
What is your most memorable accomplishment lately?

My right on target is to have almost completed a 20″ x 17″ quilting panel–a view of earth from space which was inspired by one of your posters from 2007. This quilt is for my grandson Hamish (aged 7) and the theme of the quilt is “ Hamish’s world`. I am also taken quilter`s license to place a slim red arrow pointing to Vancouver Island.
I hand-drew your view of North and South America presenting and then recreated planet earth in fabric applique using most of your colors. The back and foreground of the universe is paper-pieced in all blues of course–to recreate its depths I used teeny one inch squares of fabric to be able to use many shades of pale and darker blues. With just a few stars showing as well.
I will show on the back of my quilt this picture was `inspired by a
2007 poster“ by Bill Frymore. I will also write to you for your permission to hang the quilt in a quilt show (if it ever happens). You might laugh when you see what I`ve made–but I was absolutely enthralled with your poster when I saw it. I felt the Creator of the universe present at the lower right hand of the picture viewing His handiwork. Truly! (Your work–not mine!)
When my work is completed, I will send you a photo and catalogue number, etc. of your work which inspired mine.
Many thanks!

Hand holding toad reminds me of your brother Tim when we were living on Prince George Airport. He just couldn’t stop catching toads and frogs. You were just a baby then as I recall.
