Shooting Stars

By now, the image of a shooting star is something of a cliché – everyone feels as though they’ve seen it a million times. In reality, the number of times we’ve actually seen a celestial phenomenon on the order of a hunk of stellar debris flaring in the atmosphere, seemingly just for us, is likely fewer than a million. While other examples of a slow exposure capturing a meteoroid on a clear night exist, this one is mine. It is also computer-generated. Strangely enough, I have never lucky enough to photograph one! I had to fulfill my wish to shoot a shooting star by technological means.
