Have you made a paperclip chain yet?  Now that the days are growing longer, and the leisure of summer draws to a close, it’s time to get your head back in the game.  Let’s be real here: you have some bad habits at work…maybe it’s time to tighten that weak link in your work habit chain.  It could mean better organization, or taking advantage of getting up earlier, or simply learning to say no to that 3pm sugar rush.

Now, you can read endlessly about how to get better habits, and what system will help you the most – but in the end it’s going to come down to one thing: practice.  To close the gaps in your learning, and really tighten the chink in your chain, you will need to practice what you know is best.  And it’s hard when it’s 3:25 on a Friday, and you are tapping your pen against the desk, watching the clock tick down, longing for a Starbucks…but this is Monday morning.  And perhaps it’s time to make a fresh start.
